Amco NYSE rings the bell
Executives of Amcor plc, a global leader in the development and production of responsible consumer packaging, rang the opening bell on June 29 to celebrate the company's recent listing on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).
On June 11, 2019, Amcor successfully completed its acquisition of Bemis and began trading on the New York Stock Exchange (ticker symbol "AMCR") and the Australian Stock Exchange (ticker symbol "AMC"). Amcor is part of both the S&P 500 Index and S& P/ASX index.
Amcor chief executive Ron Delia said the ringing of the opening bell marked an exciting new chapter for Amcor and its stakeholders.
Mr. Delia said, "The combination of Amcor and Bemis and the listing on the New York Stock Exchange creates tremendous opportunities for our company, customers, investors and the environment. We are uniquely positioned to meet changing consumer needs and to develop innovative packaging that will help our customers grow."

In fiscal 2018, the company had operations in approximately 245 facilities in more than 40 countries and generated total operating income of more than $13.4 billion.
