It is understood that this year's race, with the theme of "Protecting Biodiversity", has different running categories, including a 5km time trial, a 3km fun run for individuals and families, and a 1km Fun run for families. According to the organizers, the event received strong support from participants, volunteers and others, and the funds raised will be used to support the Conservation Fund's wildlife conservation work in Asia.

At the award presentation ceremony, Mr. Lai Chun-chee, Assistant Director of the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD), introduced the importance of protecting biodiversity and the threats facing Marine life. He urged participants to work together to protect the ecology and create a green future. He said AFCD was committed to nature conservation and promotion, and had worked with the Hong Kong Ocean Park Conservation Fund over the years to reduce the loss of Marine ecology and species by conducting conservation work, including Marine stranding surveys and coral surveys.

Factors such as climate change, plastic pollution, overfishing, illegal wildlife trade and habitat loss pose multiple threats to biodiversity, said Chan Ching, chairwoman of the Hong Kong Ocean Park Conservation Foundation, who attended the award ceremony. Therefore, the Conservation Fund actively supports research and conservation work in Hong Kong and other parts of Asia, and promotes various environmental education projects to bring together the strength of nature lovers and fulfill their commitment to biodiversity conservation.
