On March 18, the Suqian City New Industrialization Promotion Conference was held to mobilize and deploy the implementation of the important speech made by General Secretary Xi Jinping during the review of the Jiangsu delegation during the two sessions of the Chinese People¡¯s Political Consultative Conference and the city¡¯s continued promotion of new industrialization development. On March 14, the 2024 Intelligent Manufacturing Equipment Key Technology Academic Exchange Conference on ¡°Developing New Quality Productivity and Realizing New Industrialization¡± was held at Suqian College. More than 200 experts and scholars in the field of intelligent manufacturing from China and abroad gathered together to promote the development and application of intelligent manufacturing and share the fruits of scientific and technological innovation.

Developing new quality productivity is an inherent requirement and an important focus for promoting high-quality development. "We should develop new quality productivity according to local conditions, based on Suqian's resource endowment, industrial foundation and scientific research conditions, expand and strengthen traditional industries, and strive to create new advantages." Chen Zhongwei, secretary of the Suqian Municipal Party Committee, said that we should adhere to the principle of "industrially strengthening the city and industrially revitalizing the city", implement the three-year action plan for tackling the trillion-level industry, further build and expand the "615" industrial system, and strive to promote the renewal of traditional industries, the growth of emerging industries, and the cultivation of future industries. Gathering advantages, renewing and upgrading traditional industries

Every minute, the fiber filaments produced in Suqian can circle the earth's equator 19 times.

In the Shenghong New Materials Industrial Park in Wujiang Siyang Industrial Park, the world's first recycled fiber industry chain is performing a wonderful story of "turning stone into gold" every day. After the drawing and doubling processes of the fully automatic spinning equipment, 25 million waste plastic bottles are processed into soft and elastic high-quality recycled polyester fibers every day, which are widely used in clothing, home textiles, aviation and other fields.

From "a strand of silk" to "a piece of clothing", the agglomeration effect of Suqian's high-end textile industry has gradually become prominent, and it has strong development potential. Since the 14th Five-Year Plan, the annual output value has grown rapidly at an average rate of 22.7%. Last year, it reached 80 billion yuan, and this year it will sprint to a scale of 100 billion yuan.

Screening, drying, hot pressing, sanding... In the production workshop of Shuyang Yasen Tonghui Industrial Co., Ltd., a picture of the production of medium and high-density fiberboards with idle people and busy machines comes to mind. "The equipment is imported from Germany, Switzerland and Austria, and the whole process is computer-controlled. It only takes half an hour from raw materials to finished products." Sun Qiang, the person in charge, introduced that intelligent production has increased production capacity and resource utilization.

"Only by transforming and upgrading on the existing basis according to their own characteristics can traditional industries have core competitiveness in the market." Li Minfu, director of the Suqian Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, said that Suqian's wood processing and furniture manufacturing industries are accelerating the pace of transformation and upgrading, actively guiding the industry to seek breakthroughs in "expanding scale", taking practical measures in "improving quality", and achieving results in "building brands".

As another traditional advantageous industry in Suqian, the wood processing and furniture manufacturing industries have focused on transformation, from "manufacturing" to "intelligence", and the quality of the industry has been completely transformed. From 2020 to 2023, the city will have 3 new companies with sales exceeding 1 billion yuan, 11 companies with sales of 500 million yuan, 144 companies with sales of 100 million yuan, and 716 companies above the designated size. By 2025, we will strive to exceed 80 billion yuan in the scale of the high-end home furnishing and green building materials industry chain.

In the science and technology exhibition hall of Jiangsu Stdick New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. located in Sihong Economic Development Zone, Deputy General Manager Ni Jianguo introduced: "From the new generation of mobile phone display films to VR glasses, Stdick has been interpreting the "speed and passion" of the new materials industry in recent years. For five consecutive years, the proportion of R&D investment in sales revenue has exceeded 5%. "After three years of exploration and experimentation, the team overcame technical difficulties and achieved a breakthrough from a single head to multiple heads in the laser unwinding and blanking line." On the afternoon of March 18, in the intelligent equipment production workshop of Jiangsu Huagong Lantian Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. in Suqian Laser Industrial Park, Wu Zhenquan's team was testing four-head laser cutting next to the laser unwinding and blanking line.

Fully implementing action plans such as talent introduction and training, achievement transformation, and carrier co-construction, Sucheng District has continuously explored the deep integration mechanism of industry, academia, and research, and has currently formed more than 100 cooperation projects between the academy and the local government. The output value of the laser optoelectronics industry has maintained an average annual growth of more than 40% in the past three years, filling the gaps in 23 innovative technologies in China and leading China in 61 innovative technologies, becoming an emerging force in the development of China's laser equipment industry.

Accelerating the pace of "intelligent transformation, digital transformation and networking" and "digital-real integration and innovation" is becoming the focus of Suqian's development of new quality productivity.

Suqian E-commerce Industrial Park actively explores the path of digital-real integration, promotes the deep integration of the digital economy and the real economy, and grows rapidly with an annual performance of 10 billion yuan. At present, the park has formed a "1+3" industrial system with the e-commerce industry as the core and supported by information technology, digital finance, and scientific and technological services. Chasing high and new, future industries aim at new cultivation

"Through the MES system, we can realize the foolproof and error-proof management of electronic materials and effectively realize the positive and reverse traceability of products." Li Youcheng, senior manager of the SMT production workshop of Jiangsu BDStar Automotive Electronics Co., Ltd., pointed to two intelligent containers in automated operation and told reporters that after the workshop was upgraded through intelligent transformation, the product defect rate dropped from 0.39% to 0.23%, and the total energy consumption per 10,000 yuan of output value was reduced from 0.0035 tons of standard coal to 0.0031 tons of standard coal.

To accelerate the formation of new quality productivity, Suqian strives to build strong carriers, cultivate new industries, and seize new development tracks.

Crane towers, machines roar...Walking into the construction site of the Suqian Digital Economy Center project, more than 300 workers are working hard to grasp the construction and catch up with the progress. Ren Jie, deputy district head of Suyu District and secretary of the Party Working Committee of Suqian E-commerce Industrial Park, introduced that the center plans to invest a total of 5 billion yuan. It is a financial CBD that Suqian focuses on building. It will build "four major platforms" such as digital commerce, wealth management, financial innovation, and service support. The first phase of the center will be completed and put into use in 2025.

In February this year, Suqian issued an action plan to accelerate the construction of the Yangtze River Delta Advanced Manufacturing Base (2024-2025), implement six major actions including cultivating advantageous cluster chains, leading scientific and technological innovation, leaping to the high end of the industry, deepening "smart transformation, digital transformation and networking", green and low-carbon transformation, and strengthening the enterprise phalanx, deeply promote new industrialization, and accelerate the renewal of traditional industries and the cultivation of new quality productivity.
