Tourists in the Maldives generate 2-3 kg of waste every day
The Maldives attracts tourists from all over the world with its clear waters and beautiful scenery, but the average tourist generates 2-3 kilograms of garbage every day, most of which is plastic. In order to tackle the problem of plastic waste, the Maldives government recently held an underwater meeting and decided to completely ban single-use plastic products by 2023.
