The Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games will be held in three competition zones: Beijing, Yanqing and Zhangjiakou. Each zone will have a Winter Olympic village.

On November 9, the Winter Olympic Village in the Beijing competition zone has completed various energy and equipment tests and has been put into operation.

The Beijing Winter Olympic Village is located near the Bird's Nest National Stadium and consists of 20 apartment buildings. The design concept comes from the Beijing Siheyuan. The apartment, which is divided into four units, also has functional Spaces such as delegation offices and small meeting rooms, and barrier-free facilities such as toilets and stairs.

The Winter Olympic Village uses ultra-low energy consumption engineering technology to realize the use of renewable energy. One of the demonstration projects, the polyclinic, can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 42.4 tons per year, and is called the "most energy-efficient building" of the Winter Olympics.

It is a kind of warming corridor, which serves to reduce the indoor temperature by preventing staff from coming in and out.

The Beijing Winter Olympic Village will be tested by the full elements and the whole process from next week, and the village will be officially opened on January 27, 2022. After the games, the village will continue to be used as a talent apartment.
