Bi Shoujin is a physical education teacher at Baihanchang Central Primary School in Guandu district, Kunming, Yunnan province. Like many rural schools, Baihanguchang Central Primary School has an extreme shortage of sports fields and facilities. In order for these students to learn a scientific and healthy way of physical exercise, Bi Shoujin ADAPTS to local conditions and uses various waste materials to make sports equipment. Wood strips, old tires, plastic bottles, scrap iron wire, pvc pipe... In his hands becomes an exercise ball, diabolo, hula hoop... In the past 30 years, he has made 106 kinds of sports equipment, more than 8,000 pieces, from the original whistle, two balls, into today's "village sports field".
