At 4 o 'clock in the morning, under the unified command of Shantou Customs, 172 anti-smuggling police respectively carried out simultaneous net collection operations in Shantou, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Huidong and other places. All 16 major criminal suspects such as Liang Mou and Zheng Mou were arrested at one blow, 16 companies, warehouses and other places involved in the case were searched, more than 2,000 tons of waste plastics and hardware were seized on the scene, a large number of documents and electronic evidence materials were seized, and 5 smuggling gangs were destroyed at one blow. The reporter found in a warehouse involved in the case that the warehouse was full of waste plastics printed with the words of various countries, and some waste plastics, emitting a pungent smell. Once these waste plastics are recycled into the market, it will cause great harm to people's health.

In addition to processing into children's toys and slippers and other daily necessities, the early operation of the case shows that these waste plastics purchased cheaply from abroad, after entering China through simple processing, are processed into plastic tableware, lunch boxes and straws and other direct entry appliances.

Preliminary investigation, since October 2014, Liang Mou, Zheng Mou and other cargo customs clearance gang, fraududely using other people's solid waste import license, for a number of China's shippers involved in a plastic factory in Longhu District, Shantou, in the form of container, a large number of false reports smuggling imports of waste plastic, waste hardware and other solid waste, involved in about 85,000 tons of goods. The value of the case is as high as 1 billion yuan. This is also the largest solid waste smuggling case seized by Shantou Customs since its establishment.
