Market Regulation randomly inspected 24 types of food-related products and found that the unqualified rate was 4.9%

The notice pointed out that the products sampled this time were composite film bags, non-composite film bags, polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles, plastic milk bottles for infants and young children, polycarbonate (PC) drinking water bottles, plastic cups, plastic bottle caps, melamine plastic tableware, plastic disposable tableware, plastic cutting boards, food packaging paper and paperboard materials, paper cups, food contact paper containers, glass wine bottles, glass food bottles and jars, glassware in contact with food, stainless steel vacuum cups, stainless steel tableware, aluminum and aluminum alloy non-stick pans, pressure cookers, industrial and commercial electric food processing equipment, industrial and commercial electric food processing equipment, tableware detergents, disposable bamboo and wooden chopsticks and other 24 products.

A total of 3,110 batches of products produced by 3,097 enterprises were sampled this time. Among them, 2 batches of products are still in the process of objection handling, and 6 batches of products are suspected of unlicensed production, over-range production, and false use of factory names and addresses, and have been transferred to the market supervision department of the enterprise's location for handling. 3102 batches of products produced by 3089 enterprises were inspected, and 151 batches of products were found to be unqualified, with an unqualified detection rate of 4.9%. The specific inspection results are analyzed as follows:

--Composite film bags. 603 batches of composite film bag products produced by 603 enterprises in 26 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) were inspected, of which 3 batches of products were suspected of unlicensed production and over-range production, and have been transferred to the market supervision department of the enterprise's location for processing. Among the 600 batches of products inspected, 8 batches of products were unqualified, with an unqualified detection rate of 1.3%.

--Non-composite film bags. 400 batches of non-composite film bag products produced by 399 enterprises in 22 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) were inspected, of which 12 batches of products were unqualified, with an unqualified detection rate of 3.0%.

--Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles. A random inspection was conducted on 181 batches of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottle products produced by 181 enterprises in 22 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities), and no unqualified products were found.

--Plastic milk bottles for infants and young children. A random inspection was conducted on 60 batches of plastic milk bottles for infants and young children produced by 60 enterprises in 7 provinces (municipalities), and no unqualified products were found.

--Polycarbonate (PC) drinking water jugs. A random inspection was conducted on 30 batches of polycarbonate (PC) drinking water jug products produced by 30 enterprises in 10 provinces, and no unqualified products were found.

--Plastic cups. A random inspection was conducted on 75 batches of plastic cup products produced by 75 enterprises in 6 provinces (municipalities), and no unqualified products were found.

--Plastic bottle caps. A random inspection was conducted on 100 batches of plastic bottle cap products produced by 100 enterprises in 14 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities), of which 2 batches were suspected of over-range production and have been transferred to the market supervision department of the enterprise's location for handling.

--Melamine plastic tableware. A sample inspection was conducted on 80 batches of melamine plastic tableware products produced by 80 enterprises in 13 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities), of which 8 batches of products were unqualified, with an unqualified detection rate of 10.0%.

--Plastic disposable tableware. A sample inspection was conducted on 160 batches of plastic disposable tableware products produced by 160 enterprises in 19 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities), and no unqualified products were found.

--Plastic cutting boards. A sample inspection was conducted on 30 batches of plastic cutting boards produced by 30 enterprises in 5 provinces (municipalities), and no unqualified products were found.

--Food packaging paper and paperboard materials. A sample inspection was conducted on 120 batches of food packaging paper and paperboard materials produced by 120 enterprises in 16 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities), of which 1 batch was unqualified, with an unqualified detection rate of 0.8%.

--Paper cups. 156 batches of paper cups produced by 155 enterprises in 20 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) were sampled, of which 23 batches were unqualified, with an unqualified detection rate of 14.7%.

--Paper containers for food contact. 179 batches of paper containers for food contact produced by 179 enterprises in 18 provinces (municipalities) were sampled, of which 14 batches were unqualified, with an unqualified detection rate of 7.8%.

--Glass wine bottles. 150 batches of glass wine bottles produced by 149 enterprises in 22 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) were sampled, of which 2 batches were unqualified, with an unqualified detection rate of 1.3%.

--Glass food bottles and jars. 40 batches of glass food bottles and jars produced by 40 enterprises in 10 provinces were sampled, of which 1 batch was unqualified, with an unqualified detection rate of 2.5%.

--Glassware in contact with food. 75 batches of food-contact glassware products produced by 73 enterprises in 10 provinces (cities) were sampled, of which 1 batch is in the process of objection handling. Among the 74 batches of products inspected, 5 batches were unqualified, and the unqualified detection rate was 6.8%.

--Stainless steel vacuum cups. 20 batches of stainless steel vacuum cups produced by 20 enterprises in 3 provinces (cities) were sampled, of which 1 batch was unqualified, and the unqualified detection rate was 5.0%.

--Stainless steel tableware. 90 batches of stainless steel tableware products produced by 89 enterprises in 6 provinces (cities) were sampled, and no unqualified products were found.

--Aluminum and aluminum alloy non-stick pans. 20 batches of aluminum and aluminum alloy non-stick pans produced by 20 enterprises in 2 provinces were sampled, and no unqualified products were found.

--Pressure cookers. 20 batches of pressure cooker products produced by 20 enterprises in 3 provinces were randomly checked, of which 3 batches were unqualified, with an unqualified detection rate of 15.0%.

--Industrial and commercial electric food processing equipment. 80 batches of industrial and commercial electric food processing equipment products produced by 80 enterprises in 7 provinces (cities) were randomly checked, of which 1 batch is in the process of objection handling. Among the 79 batches of products inspected, 27 batches were unqualified, with an unqualified detection rate of 34.2%.

--Industrial and commercial electric food processing equipment. 60 batches of industrial and commercial electric food processing equipment products produced by 60 enterprises in 8 provinces (cities) were randomly checked, of which 28 batches were unqualified, with an unqualified detection rate of 46.7%.

--Dishwashing detergent. 221 batches of tableware detergent products produced by 214 enterprises in 26 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) were randomly checked, of which 1 batch of products was suspected of using the factory name and address forged, and has been transferred to the market supervision department of the enterprise's location for handling. Among the 220 batches of products inspected, 13 batches were unqualified, with an unqualified detection rate of 5.9%.

--Disposable bamboo and wooden chopsticks. A random inspection was conducted on 160 batches of disposable bamboo and wooden chopsticks produced by 160 enterprises in 13 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities), of which 5 batches were unqualified, with an unqualified detection rate of 3.1%.

The notice stated that this follow-up inspection found 86 enterprises that failed the previous inspection, 16 enterprises still failed the inspection this time, and 70 enterprises were not found to be unqualified in this inspection.

The notice emphasized that production enterprises with problems found in this inspection, especially those that failed consecutive inspections, must be dealt with seriously in accordance with the law. For products with a high rate of unqualified detection in this inspection, such as industrial and commercial electric food processing equipment, industrial and commercial electric food processing equipment, pressure cookers, paper cups, etc., the follow-up tracking supervision and inspection of production enterprises should be strengthened.
