Ganpo is a land of magnificent mountains and rivers, rich natural resources, and outstanding people.
Here, the green mountains are beautiful for thousands of years, and the green waters are fresh all year round. The good ecological environment has nurtured infinite natural wonders.
Here, the new wind blows through the green fields, and the mountains and rivers can produce "gold". The story of ecological advantages being transformed into development advantages continues to be written.
Here, the ecological industry is booming, and waste can be turned into "treasures". The momentum of green development is getting stronger and the prospects are bright and far-reaching.
Here, it is Jiangxi.
Technology empowers ecological protection
"There is a kind of life called Jing'an." In Jing'an County, Jiangxi Province, we can breathe the negative oxygen ions of the "natural oxygen bar" to our heart's content, and feel the comfort of "healthy life in the depths of white clouds".
Jing'an, with its unique natural ecology, provides a good living environment for many animals and plants. Giant salamanders "make their home" here, as do Chinese mergansers and white-necked long-tailed pheasants...
A good ecology cannot be separated from careful protection.
"In order to protect the mountains and waters of Jing'an and protect biodiversity, we have been adhering to the principle of "primary industry utilizes ecology, secondary industry obeys ecology, and tertiary industry protects ecology" for many years." said Gong Juanfang, deputy county magistrate of Jing'an County.
Science and technology have "shown their prowess" in Jing'an's ecological protection.
In recent years, Jing'an has used satellite remote sensing, GIS and other technologies to conduct real-time monitoring and management of the ecological environment, established the Jing'an "Ecological Guardian" Comprehensive Law Enforcement Center, and improved the three-dimensional, blind-spot-free investigation and patrol system of "human defense + technical defense".
"In the past, we relied on manual inspections and public reports, which was inefficient and problems were not discovered in a timely manner." Liu Sihu, head of the "Ecological Guardian" Comprehensive Law Enforcement Center of Jing'an County, said that after using the "Ecological Guardian" comprehensive information platform for video inspections, the platform will issue timely warnings, and management personnel will rush to the scene to deal with it as soon as possible. When encountering difficult places, drones will be used to fly over, which is efficient and convenient.
Technology empowers, manages mountains and protects water, so that green mountains will always be there and green waters will flow forever.
Melodious singing came from afar by the Fairy Lake in Xinyu City. A breeze blew over, and the Fairy (Lake) seemed to have wrinkles.
The lake is beautiful, the scenery is beautiful, and people who "love beauty" are taking action.
"We make full use of technical means such as drones and unmanned boats to strengthen the management and control of the lake area and effectively improve the level of water environment safety management." Pan Liyun, deputy secretary of the Fairy Lake District Committee and director of the Management Committee, said.
The Phoenix Bay of Fairy Lake has a terrain like a phoenix spreading its wings. In recent years, the local area has relied on its good ecological advantages and advanced technology to improve its governance level, and has accelerated its development.
"With the use of technologies such as AI cloud monitoring and remote dialogue, village cadres can discover various behaviors that damage the environment without leaving their homes and persuade them." Li Ping, member of the Party Committee and Organization Committee of Fenghuang Bay Office, said.
The good ecology is well-known far and wide, and the beautiful scenery attracts tourists from all directions. "In 2023, Fenghuang Bay will receive 12,000 tourists." Li Ping introduced.
Green mountains and clear waters can produce "gold"
Chongyi, Jiangxi, is known as the "hometown of Chinese sour jujube."
The sour jujube used to be a wild fruit that no one cared about. Many people are attracted by the wood value of its fruit trees, so cutting down sour jujube trees has become a "trend" for a while.
"Seeing that the sour jujube trees are becoming fewer and the green mountains are becoming bald, many Chongyi people were thinking, is this really okay?" said Lin Chaokai, a senior engineer of Chongyi County Forestry Bureau.
The change began in the 1990s. Chongyi County guided the development of green ecological industries, established local food companies, and used Chinese jujube to make food.
However, the Chinese jujube in the deep mountains faces many challenges in its road to the market.
How to select and breed wild fruits with poor quality? How to improve the backward processing technology and equipment?
"This depends on technology. Not only do we have to study it ourselves, but we also have to find relevant scientific research institutes to cooperate with us." Liu Zhigao, the head of a company engaged in the production of Chinese jujube products in Chongyi, said, "We have carried out variety selection, ingredient research, key processing technology and equipment research and development."
Finally, hard work pays off, and a series of problems have been solved. "Now, Chongyi produces more than 30,000 tons of fresh Chinese jujube fruits annually, and the annual output value of the Chinese jujube series of foods developed by it has exceeded 1 billion yuan." Huang Xuepeng, director of the Chongyi County Forestry Bureau, said.
A small Chinese jujube has greened the mountains and forests of a county and enriched the people.
At the rice-shrimp demonstration base of Tongjiang Wanmu Rice-Fish Industry Park in Pangu Town, Jishui County, the blades of the wind turbines on the distant mountains turned gently, and the water in the rice fields rippled slightly.
In the past, there were floods all year round, and nine out of ten crops failed to be harvested. Now, the rice-shrimp co-cultivation model is adopted to make the rice fields "golden".
Crayfish provide natural fertilizer for rice, and plankton and small fish in the rice fields become food for crayfish. Ecological breeding and the combination of planting and breeding have better quality and taste of rice and shrimp.
"Now the yield of organic rice per mu is 800 kilograms, crayfish is 300 kilograms, and the profit per mu is 5,300 yuan." said Wang Yin, the person in charge of the base.
The economic value is considerable, and some local people have also begun to learn technology and become breeders, working and starting businesses at their doorsteps.
Promote aquaculture technology training, aquatic product processing, youth farm training, catering and homestay...Through measures such as extending the industrial chain and increasing added value, the road to wealth and happiness for local villagers and breeders is getting wider and wider.
Good mountains, good waters, and good models
"When the boat passes Wan'an County, my heart is relaxed. I feel like I have entered a fairyland, and I see beautiful mountains." This is Yuan Mei's description of the mountains and waters of Wan'an County in the Qing Dynasty. In recent years, the local area has illuminated the road to green development with the light of science and technology.
In Shaokou Village, Shaokou Township, the county, rows of solar photovoltaic panels are supported on the water surface, which is extremely spectacular. "Power can be generated on the water, and fish can be raised underwater." Chen Diyu, member of the Standing Committee of the Wan'an County Party Committee and deputy county magistrate, introduced that green electricity is generated and ecological fish are raised.
Li Fanghai, deputy general manager of Three Gorges New Energy Wan'an Power Generation Co., Ltd., said: "As of the end of May 2024, the project has generated a total of 205 million kWh of electricity."
Good scenery produces good benefits, and new technologies promote new development.
In recent years, with the help of China Three Gorges Corporation, Wan'an has embarked on a new path of "fishery light + agricultural light" complementary solar photovoltaic power generation.
Photovoltaic power generation relies on technology, and the development of circular economy also relies on technology.
In the Fengcheng Circular Economy Park in Yichun City, the green land is lush with grass and trees, and upstream and downstream enterprises such as ecological environmental protection, photovoltaic power generation, and rare metals gather here, and the circular economy industry is clustered. Here, the story of "turning waste into products" is being told.
Take plastic waste as an example. Qin Yufei, head of an enterprise in the park, said: "Our company recycles more than 100,000 tons of waste plastics and household appliances every year, and the renewable plastic particles produced will re-enter many fields such as daily chemical packaging, home furnishings, automobiles, and electronic appliances."
The magic of recycling and green utilization does not stop there. The carbon footprint of the recycled plastic products manufactured by the company has been verified by a third party, which is 78% to 79% less than that of virgin plastics.
The recycling of waste plastics is a "miniature" of the local use of advanced technology to develop circular industries and promote green development.
"Make the front end bigger and fuller, and make the back end more refined and solid, so that limited resources can be infinitely recycled." Zeng Guohui, director of Fengcheng Circular Park, said that at present, Fengcheng Circular Economy Park has built a circular economy industry system of "waste-raw materials-materials-products", and the story of green development is still being written.
