Six young people in Spain developed blue wine, targeting young people

When it comes to wine, people are more familiar with red, white and pink wines, but not long ago, six young entrepreneurs in Spain developed a blue wine that upends people's ideas about traditional wine.

This blue wine is called "Gik", launched by a Spanish startup company, the company's members are six young people under the age of 30, and surprisingly, their occupation has nothing to do with the wine industry. They are an information engineer, a communications graduate, a college student still studying corporate strategy, a marketing management expert, a graphic designer and a DJ.

On the idea for blue wine, one of the entrepreneurs said: "Two years ago, a few of us sat together and talked about revolutionizing a traditional field, and we chose wine because it fascinates a lot of people." The entrepreneurs said they chose wine simply because they shared a passion.

After setting up their project at the University of the Basque Country in northern Spain, they added anthocyanins and indigotin, natural compounds extracted from grape skins, to the wine to give it a bright blue color, while adding sweeteners to soften the wine and make it taste better.

entrepreneurs said: "We for this blue wine market positioning is very clear, must be more convenient than drinking red wine, if you want to drink red wine, you need to decanter, need a tall glass, these are very troublesome. We want to make this wine can be put in plastic bottles, you can drink whenever and wherever you want to drink, we want to ensure that no matter whether this wine is in a plastic bottle or in a tall glass, its taste will be the same." "We want to sell it to a younger generation, a generation that is adventurous and innovative, who are not bound by conventional ideas," the founders said.

The six entrepreneurs chose to sell the blue wine on the official website, which costs 10 euros (about 73 yuan). The entrepreneurs say they have received orders from bars in all regions of Spain and have even received orders from abroad.
