Say goodbye to plastic: First plastic-free supermarket opens
An environmental group has teamed up with supermarkets to open the world's first "plastic-free" supermarket in Amsterdam, Netherlands, in a bid to get people to use less plastic. The supermarket will sell more than 700 products, including grains, dairy products, fruits, vegetables, meat and more. Although the packaging of some products looks like plastic products, they are actually made from biological materials. They plan to roll out plastic-free products in another 74 stores by the end of this year.
