Take a look at these interesting and down-to-earth high-tech products at the Science and Technology Expo

From October 24 to 27, the 22nd China Beijing International Science and Technology Industry Expo (hereinafter referred to as the Science and Technology Expo) was held at the Beijing International Exhibition Center. The exhibition area of this Science and Technology Expo is 38,000 square meters, with 19 special exhibition areas.

After visiting these exhibition areas, the reporter not only found some interesting and down-to-earth high-tech, but also took a science class that opened his mind.

"Technology Winter Olympics" takes the lead

Li Runze, a student at Beijing Union University, put on white ski boots and held the railing in front of him tightly. As the system started, his feet began to swing along the winding track on the screen.

"Although I am from the north, I can't ski. I just experienced it and it feels very interesting. Diligent practice will definitely help master and improve skiing skills." Li Runze said.

The "system" that Li Runze experienced is the indoor multi-degree-of-freedom simulation skiing training system in the Science and Technology Winter Olympics exhibition area. Fei Qing, a researcher from Beijing Institute of Technology, told reporters that in China, due to weather reasons, athletes' training venues are often limited. For example, in summer, athletes have to go abroad for training.

"In view of the current situation of short training time, low efficiency and few venues for skiing in China, we have developed an indoor multi-degree-of-freedom simulated skiing training system to simulate the skiing process as realistically as possible to help athletes train better." Fei Qing revealed to reporters that athletes from the second team of the National Alpine Skiing Team, who are preparing for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, have used this system for training in Qinhuangdao.

The system is only part of the Science and Technology Winter Olympics exhibition area. In addition, reporters also saw the bobsleigh and skeleton track model, police robots, shooting simulation booths in the biathlon project, and smart heating clothing for Winter Olympic athletes.

It is reported that this is the first time that the Ministry of Science and Technology has set up a Science and Technology Winter Olympics exhibition, with the promotion of the "Science and Technology Winter Olympics Action Plan" as the core, focusing on the major strategic needs of the science and technology support for the Winter Olympics, and focusing on a number of high-tech, innovative achievements, and demonstration projects that reflect the country's strength to promote the integration of science and technology with the Winter Olympics. The reporter observed that their debut attracted a large number of Winter Olympics fans to stop and experience.

High-tech landing benefits people's livelihood

"Total quantity 2, total amount 74 yuan..." The robot "pharmacist Xiao Qiao" in front of the reporter spit out a note with a list of recommended medicines.

Before this, the reporter stood in front of "Xiao Qiao" and carefully clicked on his physical symptoms according to the instructions on the screen. After 3 seconds, "Xiao Qiao" gave the corresponding drug recommendations.

Next to "Xiao Qiao", the bipedal lower limb exoskeleton rehabilitation training robot with the five words "Da Ai Robot" written on it attracted the attention of many visitors. A visitor put on the device with the help of the staff and started walking in the exhibition area. Although his steps were slow, they were very steady.

The reporter learned that the device is suitable for mid- and late-stage rehabilitation training of the rehabilitation population, and can help patients with active walking training and balance training. It is small and light and can be used at home.

"How fast!" A visitor exclaimed, attracting the attention of reporters: I saw a robotic arm moving quickly left and right, sorting a pile of materials quickly and accurately according to the requirements of "wood to the right, plastic bottles to the left".

Li Gaoqiang, general manager of Beijing Anqi Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., told reporters that this is the "intelligent sorting line for domestic dry garbage" they developed. "It can sort more than 8 kinds of garbage, and it takes only 1.5 seconds to catch it once. The intelligent sorting line will also continue to learn autonomously. In the future, it can calibrate data for 300 to 500 kinds of garbage samples, extract features, and achieve accurate sorting of dozens or even hundreds of kinds of garbage."

Li Gaoqiang introduced that the current application scenarios of the sorting line are garbage transfer stations and garbage resource factories. The general way to deal with garbage is landfill or incineration. If it is to be recycled, the garbage should be recycled as much as possible, so as to reduce the landfill and incineration of garbage. After the garbage is generated, it can be roughly classified at the front end, such as the current dry-wet separation, and then more finely classified at the back end, so that the garbage can be better resourced.

When the reporter asked why the front-end classification did not need to be more refined, Li Gaoqiang explained that the finer the front-end classification, the greater the difficulty and the higher the transportation cost. Therefore, rough classification at the front end and fine classification at the back end are a major trend in the resourceization of garbage.

Technology helps a better life

The blooming fireworks, the celebratory balloons covering the screen, and the wonderful dunks are what the reporter saw in the new generation of information technology (ultra-high-definition video) 8k cinema experience area.

Yang Luda, an on-site staff member from Beijing Zhonglian Ultra-High Definition Collaborative Technology Center Co., Ltd., told reporters that with the maturity of 5G technology, accelerating the popularization of 4k and cultivating the 8k ecosystem has become an industry trend.

At the military parade marking the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the Ultra High Definition Collaborative Technology Center collaborated with operators and other industries to use the world's first 5G+8K ultra-high-definition broadcast vehicle, and achieved the world's first 8K full-chain live broadcast report through the landing of multiple live broadcast signals.

"At present, the stable uplink rate of 5G has reached 130mb/s. This year's National Day event was transmitted in real time, high speed and high definition to a 110-inch 8K ultra-high-definition display screen in Shanghai Shimao Plaza through the 8K high-definition camera set up on site, through the Beijing Media News Center, for a wonderful live broadcast for TV viewers." Yang Luda said.

As the main carrier area of the "four centers" functions of the capital, Chaoyang District, Beijing, with the theme of "5G Empowering Innovation Chaoyang", exhibited Chaoyang District's international talents, international capital, cultural and technological integration development, as well as the "three internationals and one future" development plan, the construction of international venture capital clusters and future 5G technology application scenarios. Smart communities, smart medical care, smart light poles, garbage classification, unmanned driving, panoramic VR and other scenarios have been partially implemented. As of the end of June this year, Chaoyang District has built more than 1,500 base stations, ranking first among all districts.

In the science fiction theme exhibition area of Hall 5, the red surface protective suit worn by Liu Qi in the hit movie "The Wandering Earth", the aged earthworms of the underground food, and the core intelligent host of the navigator space station (MOSS) are quietly displayed here.

"When I leave on a spacecraft one day and look back at the earth, I will definitely have feelings for my hometown. So I can only say that my hometown is the earth." This sentence on the exhibition board made many science fiction fans ponder, and they wandered in the exhibition hall for a long time and were reluctant to leave.

Walking out of the Science and Technology Expo, the reporter met a group of volunteers wearing blue vests and blue baseball caps. "My name means to make the masses happy and bring happiness to everyone." Volunteer Zhang Yuequn, a senior student, introduced himself to the reporter with a smile. Zhang Yuequn, a computer science student, said that her graduation project was related to big data. During her break, she went to see Tsinghua Unigroup's chip technology and intelligent garbage sorting line.

"The continuous development of chip technology has enabled us to have a "Chinese chip" with independent intellectual property rights. What impressed me most was the intelligent garbage sorting line. The current environmental pollution is becoming increasingly serious. If we can use artificial intelligence to sort garbage as soon as possible, our planet will become clean and livable." Zhang Yuequn said frankly.
