Reporter saw at the scene, two plastic factories, one of which is called "Suzhou New Huamei Plastic Co., LTD.", from the library experimental primary school affiliated kindergarten, only more than 100 meters. The primary school and the kindergarten are just in the downwind of the enterprise, and the pungent smell wafts to the two schools when the wind blows. Mr. Xia admitted that because the enterprise is engaged in the production and processing of plastic particle dyeing, it will produce a certain amount of exhaust gas and taste, but their exhaust gas emission treatment device has been tested by the environmental protection department in line with the relevant national emission standards, environmental protection facilities including all gas filtration without any problem.

Is the exhaust gas emitted by this enterprise really up to the standard and whether it is toxic? The environmental protection bureau of Wuzhong district in Suzhou said it inspected the company in early April and concluded the emissions were up to standard because there was no abnormality in the company's emissions treatment equipment. However, they did not check the gas itself. Yang Fei-yong, deputy director of the Wuzhong Environmental Protection Bureau, admitted that although the gas emissions were in line with standards, the pungent smell did exist and had not been fundamentally solved. "The local government wants the enterprises to move, but they can't really land, so the environmental protection department keeps an eye on the enterprises and sets up pollution control facilities," Yang said. "There are so many pollution control facilities, and so far there is no way to completely solve the problem of the acrid smell that comes out of the plastic factory during the injection molding process."

In the long run, enterprises do need to relocate, but there is no specific schedule and plan for the relocation of enterprises due to land indicators and other reasons.
