Reported that at 16:00 on May 12, 2017, the Hongta District market Supervision Administration received a telephone report, and the report said that the rice purchased in the Rainbow Bridge Limin grain and oil store was mixed with suspected plastic particles, requiring treatment according to law. Hongta District Market Supervision Administration attached great importance to it, immediately sent law enforcement personnel to the scene for investigation, and seized 13 bags of suspected problem rice in the store's inventory in accordance with the law (including 9 bags returned by the informant found the problem).

Among the 13 bags of rice seized by the Hongta District Market Supervision Administration, 11 bags were dated "April 07, 2017" and 2 bags were dated "April 15, 2017".

May 15, Hongta District market supervision Administration seized 13 bags of suspected problem rice bag by bag open inspection, after inspection, the production date marked as "17 April 07" of 11 bags (a total of 275 kg) rice, found a total of white suspicious particles 18.20 grams; No suspicious white particles were found in 2 bags of rice marked with the production date of "April 15, 17 years".

After identification, the white suspicious particles are raw materials for the production of plastic packaging containers for food (chemical name: polyethylene terephthalate, referred to as PET). According to the current investigation, the suspicious white particles found in the incident were accidentally mixed in the process of transportation and loading and unloading of rice, which can be ruled out as deliberate adulteration.

After in-depth investigation by the Hongta District Market Supervision Administration, as of 18:00 on May 17, 2017, no such suspected problem rice was found in the Hongta District area, and no related complaints were received.
