some companies ignored the ban and continued production
On June 20, 28 inspection teams from the ministry of Environmental Protection (MEP) inspected 453 enterprises and found 239 had environmental problems, according to its website. Among the enterprises with problems, 70 belong to the problem of "scattered pollution", 7 have not installed pollution control facilities, 16 have abnormal operation of pollution control facilities, and 71 have volatile organic compounds (VOCs) management problems.
Inspection team in the past two days of inspection found that Dezhou City, Shandong Province, Xiajin County Shuangxing cotton Industry Co., Ltd. and other 21 injection molding, prefabricated panels, tram parts processing enterprises are temporarily halted or locked factory doors and other ways to avoid inspection; Hebei Cangzhou city Mengcun Hui Autonomous County Guangyuan malamar steel factory, Wei Kang Metallurgical Casting Co., Ltd. have been ordered by the local government to stop rectification, but the two enterprises ignore the ban did not complete the rectification as required to continue production.
The Ministry of Environmental Protection requires governments at all levels to draw a conclusion from one example to the above problems, strengthen supervision and inspection, and seriously investigate and punish enterprises that evade inspection and fail to complete rectification according to regulations.
