Chemus continues to expand production of titanium dioxide
Recently, Chemus announced that the company will continue to de-bottleneck its titanium dioxide facilities. By 2021, the company will add 150,000 to 200,000 tons of capacity per year.
Chief executive officer Mark Vergnano said that the company is expanding the capacity of three large production plants, and the supply and demand of the global titanium dioxide industry will maintain a very good balance in the next 3 to 5 years. Chemus is very confident about the growth of titanium dioxide market.
According to the company's results, Chemus Titanium Dioxide division's adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization in 2018 increased by 22% to $1.06 billion; Sales rose 7 percent to $3.17 billion.
