Since mid-April, the company's propylene production increased by 80 tons/day, and efficiency increased by about 500,000 yuan/day.
Propylene is one of the most important petrochemical products and the basic raw material of the three major synthetic materials. Affected by many factors such as epidemic prevention and control, since the beginning of this year, the demand for downstream polypropylene has grown rapidly, and the market demand for propylene has also grown rapidly.
To this end, Yangzi Petrochemical closely follows market changes and takes increasing propylene production as an important means to improve efficiency. The company has set up a team to increase propylene production, which is composed of technology department, planning and operation department, dispatching department, refinery, olefin plant and other units. The research team analyzed the market situation, discussed the methods and paths of increasing propylene production, and focused on the catalytic unit and ethylene unit to increase propylene production.
Yangzi Petrochemical made great efforts in technical research. The company has cooperated with the Academy of Stone Sciences to continuously optimize the main catalyst formula of the catalytic unit and strive to increase the production of propylene. At the same time, according to the optimization suggestions of the refining division of the Group company, the company added propylene additives to further improve the liquefied gas yield, increase the propylene output, and achieve an increase in propylene production of about 10 tons/day.
The company also increased technical research in the recovery of propylene from coking LPG. For a long time, due to the influence of raw material structure and quality, the sulfur content in coking LPG is high, which increases the difficulty of propylene recovery. In response to the existing problems, the company carried out technical research, adopted a series of optimization measures, significantly reduced the organic sulfur in the coking LPG, successfully returned the coking LPG, and achieved an increase in propylene production of more than 10 tons/day.
Yangzi Petrochemical has made great efforts in the optimization operation of the plant. The company adjusted the formula of the main catalyst for catalytic cracking, added additives to increase propylene production, optimized the process parameters, appropriately increased the outlet temperature of the lifting pipe and the reaction steam injection ratio, cleverly controlled the appropriate catalyst activity, and increased propylene production of the catalytic unit up to 30 tons/day. The ethylene unit of the company in accordance with the principle of maximizing propylene output, optimize the temperature of the outlet of the cracking furnace, adjust the structure of ethylene cracking raw materials, and achieve an increase in propylene production of about 30 tons/day.
