China successfully completes first expedition around the Arctic Ocean
China's eighth Arctic scientific expedition has completed its last station in the Chukchi Sea and entered the Bering Sea through the Bering Strait, successfully completing its first circumpolar Arctic exploration. During the expedition, the team carried out a total of seven sea ice stations and 49 ocean stations, and carried out a multidisciplinary comprehensive survey focusing on Marine basic environment, sea ice, biodiversity, Marine plastic waste and other factors.
