For the past two weeks, Greenfield has been eating only fast food such as pizza, hamburgers and French fries and drinking soda drinks every day, then hanging the fast food boxes, cups and plastic bags over himself. "I'm buying into the American way of life and making garbage," he said with a laugh.

Greenfield initially tried to bring organic trash with him, but he couldn't stand the stench. Still, Greenfield may not be used to a wasteful lifestyle, so he has lowered his target of about 61 kilograms of trash to 45 kilograms.
Greenfield says it's "sky-high" to live a green life in the consumer kingdom of the United States, where the temptation to "buy, buy, buy" is so pervasive.He believes that Americans have become more aware of the environment, but not enough to reduce household waste. "They are willing to buy more recyclable products or environmentally friendly products, but there are still not many people who make a conscious effort to reduce [produce] waste."
