"Often remember the brook pavilion at dusk, drunk do not know the way back." Come to Zhangqiu District of Jinan, Shandong province, where the Baiyun Lake, which once let Song Dynasty female poet Li Qingzhao sail in the lotus bush and get intoxicated, has become a national wetland park in 2019. In the 1990s, every family around Baiyun Lake operated small workshops for waste plastic production. Now, based on a good ecological environment, the local government has accelerated the development of characteristic ecological agriculture, built a thousand acres of consecutive shallow lotus root planting base, and explored the intensive processing of lotus root industry, allowing villagers to achieve employment at their doorsteps.

This year, the local cultural tourism festival attracted nearly 500,000 tourists, and the villagers' income increased by 6,000 yuan per household. Baiyun, now a water town, is painting a new picture of rural revitalization with prosperous industry, beautiful countryside and rich farmers.
