Maintenance situation and forecast of PE equipment in July 2021
The maintenance of PE equipment in China in July involved 16 production enterprises, which were divided by region: the capacity of Northeast China was 1.275 million tons/year; North China involved capacity 1.02 million tons/year; East China involves a production capacity of 650,000 tons/year; South China involves 1.34 million tons/year; In Northwest China, 1.96 million tons of production capacity is involved, with a total production capacity of about 6.245 million tons/year, and the loss of plant output is about 220,000 tons, an increase of 28,000 tons over the previous month (192,000 tons), and the loss of plant maintenance is still at a relatively high level.

As can be seen in Table 1, in July China PE equipment overhaul enterprises are not a few, of which Qilu Petrochemical LDPE equipment originally planned to start overhaul on August 10, now due to equipment problems from July 7 to stop overhaul, driving time to be determined; Haiguolong oil full density device was originally scheduled to start parking maintenance on July 7, the original plan was only to stop for 4 days, it is still in parking maintenance, driving time to be determined. Jiutai Energy full density device, Liaotong Chemical HDPE device and Zhongmei Mengdaquan density have been repaired in the middle of the month, the maintenance period is about one month, will continue to next month.

As can be seen in Table 2, in early August, Qilu Petrochemical will overhaul the whole line, the maintenance time lasts 50 days, in addition, Fujian joint full density plan from August 19 maintenance, planned maintenance to early September. The output loss of known equipment in August is expected to be about 110,000 tons, the total amount decreased by 110,000 tons compared with July. The likelihood of an increase in supply in August is increasing, and prices in the Chinese market are likely to move downward.
