Dalian Customs returns "foreign garbage"
Dayaowan Customs returns 28 tons of "foreign garbage". On December 2, at the port under the jurisdiction of Dayaowan Customs under Dalian Customs, an international cargo ship carrying 28 tons of "foreign garbage" slowly left the Dayaowan Port Terminal.
This batch of returned "foreign garbage" was discovered by customs officers of Dayaowan Customs during on-site inspection. The container was full of waste batteries, waste electronic game consoles and other waste electronic components. During the unpacking and inspection process, an extremely pungent smell burst out. Customs officers initially determined that it was suspected to be "foreign garbage". After identification by authoritative departments, it was confirmed that it was solid waste prohibited from entering China. Dayaowan Customs ordered the owner to return the goods in accordance with the law.
Dalian Customs returned 23.71 tons of "foreign garbage". On November 27, 23.71 tons of "foreign garbage" intercepted by Dayaowan Customs under Dalian Customs were returned to the country at Dalian Port Terminal. After the cargo named "leather scraps" entered the country, the consignee delayed reporting to the customs, resulting in a long-term detention in the port, and the consignee was out of contact. Customs officers of Dayaowan Customs unpacked and inspected the cargo when clearing the detained containers. After identification by authoritative departments, the cargo was solid waste prohibited from import into China.
Guangzhou Customs Returns "Foreign Garbage"
Foshan Customs Gaoming Office returned 22.96 tons of foreign garbage in accordance with the law. Recently, Foshan Customs Gaoming Office under Guangzhou Customs seized a batch of solid wastes suspected of being prohibited from import at the Zhujiang Wharf in its jurisdiction that were suspected of entering the country by falsely declaring the product name. The goods were imported by a company in Foshan under the general trade mode. The declared product name was "polymethyl methacrylate recycled granules", weighing about 22.96 tons and worth about 192,200 yuan. During the on-site inspection, it was found that the goods had an abnormal appearance. After sampling and inspection and identification, it was confirmed that the goods were polyethylene terephthalate recycled plastic granules and their scraps, which were solid wastes prohibited from import by the state. The solid wastes were returned on November 22 in accordance with the law.
Foshan Customs Nanhai Office returned 255.84 tons of solid waste. The solid wastes were seized by the Nanhai Anti-smuggling Branch at a cargo yard in Shishan Town, Nanhai District, Foshan City. After identification, it was confirmed that the waste wire and cable parts and shells were mainly recycled copper, the waste hardware and electrical appliances parts and shells were mainly recycled steel, and the waste hardware and electrical appliances parts and shells were mainly recycled aluminum, all of which were solid wastes prohibited from import by the state. According to the relevant provisions of the "Measures for the Administration of the Import of Solid Waste", the parties concerned are required to return the batch of goods out of the country in accordance with the law. On November 28, the batch of solid waste was returned from Sanshan Port.
Shijiazhuang Customs Returns 10,500 Tons of "Foreign Garbage"
In the early morning of December 1, under the strict supervision of Shijiazhuang Customs, 10,500 tons of solid waste prohibited from entering the country that was previously seized by the customs were loaded and shipped out of the port at Tangshan Caofeidian Terminal. The name of the goods declared to the customs was "ball iron ore". It was identified as screened and ground materials in the production and use of pellet ore, mixed with iron-containing materials from various sources. It is actually a mixture of multiple substances and belongs to solid waste prohibited from import by the country, which is commonly known as "foreign garbage". According to relevant regulations, the customs ordered the companies involved to return the goods out of the country in accordance with the law.
Nanning Customs returns nearly 5,000 tons of solid waste banned from import
A few days ago, a cargo ship with 18 containers loaded with solid waste banned from import in China slowly left the Qinzhou Bonded Port Terminal. The batch of solid waste totaled 475 tons and was returned in batches under the supervision of Qinzhou Port Customs under Nanning Customs. Since the beginning of this year, Qinzhou Port Customs has seized 11 batches of solid waste banned from import in China, totaling 4,987 tons.
Qingdao Customs returns 4,067 tons of "foreign garbage" at one time
Recently, under the on-site supervision of Huangdao Customs officers under Qingdao Customs, 150 containers left Qingdao Qianwan Port Terminal and were returned to the country. The containers were loaded with 4,067 tons of iron oxide, a solid waste banned from import in China, and the enterprises declared it as iron concentrate when entering the country. This is also the largest batch of solid waste returned by Qingdao Customs in terms of single ticket weight since this year. At present, the follow-up cases are being further processed.
Xiamen Customs Seized 7.41 Tons of Solid Waste
Recently, a company in Xiamen declared to Xiamen Customs the import of a batch of recycled polyoxymethylene granules (POM) from Hong Kong, with a total weight of 21.19 tons. Customs officers found multiple bags of goods mixed with two types of granules at the back and bottom of the container, with obvious color differences, and with solid waste characteristics such as scraps or leftovers. On December 9, after identification by the technical department, part of the goods were solid wastes prohibited from import into China, with a total weight of 7.41 tons.
Jiangmen Customs Seized 4.86 Tons of Prohibited Solid Waste
Recently, a company in Jiangmen City declared to Heshan Customs under Jiangmen Customs the import of a batch of "polystyrene plastic granules (GPPS)" with a quantity of 28.4 tons. After risk analysis, the customs believed that the batch of goods was suspected of smuggling solid waste and issued a control order. After on-site inspection by customs officers, 7 bags of goods were found to contain light yellow strips and sticky particles, suspected to be solid waste. After identification, the batch of goods was found to contain 4.86 tons of "polystyrene plastic particle scraps", which are solid wastes prohibited from import by the country. At present, the case has been followed up by the customs anti-smuggling department.
