Sinopec issued an important notice: melt-blown cloth will be changed to targeted supply prices increased by 24%

In response to the call of The State Council to prevent the second outbreak of the novel coronavirus, China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation issued a notice on June 9. It will no longer directly approve the supply of polypropylene melt-blown non-woven fabric to enterprises from 00:00 on June 12, 2020, and change to directional supply. From 00:00 on June 12, 2020, it will be handed over to the provincial Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Emergency Management and the Development and Reform Commission to be fully responsible for the directional supply of its production of polypropylene melt-blown non-woven fabric.

From midnight on June 12, 2020, all enterprises applying for the procurement of polypropylene melt-blown non-woven fabrics must be required to obtain the provincial approval letter of any one or more of the above units, and then report the application step by step to the provincial competent units and report for approval step by step.

According to the notice, since midnight on June 12, 2020, the sales price of polypropylene melt-blown non-woven fabrics produced by Sinopec will be increased by 24%, and the specific price will be announced and implemented from midnight on the same day.

The notice also stressed that at present, there are frequent disorderly phenomena such as reselling and reselling in the market, and a large number of trading information on various social platforms, tieba and apps for the sale of Sinopec's polypropylene melt-blown non-woven fabrics are fake, and Sinopec has not entrusted any individual, enterprise or organization to sell them on its behalf.

It is reported that the total production capacity of Sinopec's existing polypropylene melt-blown non-woven fabric production line can reach 85 tons/day, meeting the daily production of 68 million disposable medical masks.
