Berlin (Reuters) - Dozens of unidentified people attacked the city hall of Berlin's Neue Kern district Wednesday night, causing damage to the city hall and some surrounding buildings, Berlin police said Wednesday.
Police said that about 30 to 50 unidentified people threw stones and plastic bags containing dye to seven buildings, including the new Kern district Town hall at 22:00 local time on the 10th, the city hall, the district court and two banks, three shops were damaged, there were no casualties. Police arrested four suspicious people near the scene of the incident.
Police speculated that the incident may be linked to an attack on a police station in Leipzig several days earlier. Dozens of masked men threw stones, plastic bags containing dye and fireworks at a police station in Leipzig on Sunday night.
