In response, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) introduced on February 24 that it is making full use of the advantages of e-commerce platform coverage and strong distribution, actively promoting the connection between e-commerce and production enterprises, and urgently coordinating key production enterprises such as Blue Moon (China), NAS Group, Shanghai Likang, Shandong Haiyan, Shandong Huashi and Shandong Luoxin Pharmaceutical. Continue to supply killer products for major e-commerce platforms such as Tmall, Jingdong, Suning and NetEase Yanxuan.

At present, relevant products have been shipped successively, and by the end of February, a total of 840,000 758,000 bottles (460 tons) of disinfectant, 500 boxes (1 ton) of hands-free disinfectant, 50,000 bottles of alcohol disinfection spray, 20 million tablets (200,000 boxes) of medical alcohol disinfection tablets, and 200,000 bottles (20 tons) of chlorine dioxide effervescent tablets can be supplied to e-commerce.

In addition, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology also urged the current ability to produce alcohol cotton tablets, small capacity alcohol spray and other products of enterprises to speed up production, increase online and offline protection efforts.

Some time after the Spring Festival, due to the difficulties of some enterprises to resume work and production, transportation and logistics obstacles, the masses snapped up, resulting in medical alcohol, 84 disinfectant and other disinfectant products out of stock.

To this end, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology strengthened the guidance of key provinces and backbone enterprises, actively helped enterprises coordinate to solve problems such as labor, raw materials, and epidemic prevention, increased temporary production capacity, and rapidly increased the output of disinfectant supplies.

As of February 20, the daily output of 84 disinfectant, hands-free disinfectant and alcohol and other major disinfectant products has increased by 207%, 151% and 270%, respectively, compared with the end of January. In terms of total volume, the contradiction between supply and demand in the early stage has been significantly alleviated.

Take alcohol as an example, as alcohol enterprises have resumed work, and some grain wineries and chemical factories have changed production, there has even been a phenomenon of oversupply in some areas, and some enterprises have begun to reduce production load due to large inventories.

However, many people do not know that the important reason for the "bottle difficult to find" of disinfectant supplies is packaging. Because, killing products production enterprises mainly produce large packaging (> 5L) products, but the major e-commerce platforms, family individuals on the small packaging of kill products (100ml, 500ml, etc.) greater demand. Due to the lack of various specifications of plastic bottles, pump heads, labels, cartons and other packaging materials, the supply of small bottles of alcohol is in short supply, especially the public is more willing to accept the relative lack of 100 ml of alcohol with sprinkler products.

In order to strengthen the guarantee of kill products, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will focus on the production of kill products into the unified management of material support information monitoring platform, while strengthening the management of the whole industry chain. Up to now, there are more than 480 production enterprises of kill products in the warehouse. At the same time, a special packaging auxiliary coordination group has been set up to master the supply of plastic bottles (barrels), glass bottles (barrels), cartons, extrusion pumps, labels, etc., guide enterprises to speed up the production of small packaging (mainly 500ml and below products), and coordinate to solve the problems of bottles, labels, pumps, etc. required by Beijing Green Umbrella, Changjiang Mai and other enterprises to produce 84 sanitizer and hand-washing sanitizer.

According to reports, in view of the rapid growth in demand for disinfection supplies after the resumption of work and production around the country, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology coordinated key production enterprises and Ali, Jingdong, Suning and other e-commerce platforms docking, increasing the mass sales channels, to meet the social purchase needs. In order to fully tap the potential of the supply side, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology also encourages e-commerce platform enterprises to mobilize upstream and downstream enterprises in the supply chain to switch production lines close to the origin of raw materials to eliminate products and improve supply capacity.
