After graduating with a Ph.D. in 1997, Huang Xianbo came to Kingfa Technology to engage in research and development. From a technician to the current chief scientist, Huang Xianbo has been working on the road of scientific research for 21 years, rooted in the laboratory and the front line. Even though he is now a leader in China's modified plastic technology and has two or three hundred technical R&D personnel under him, he still likes to do it himself and often insists on going to the front line to do specific work.

"If you leave the front line, you will have no roots and you will not be able to lead the team." The easiest place to find him is either on the front line or in the laboratory. As the backbone of the team, Huang Xianbo tries his best to do every project himself and insists on going to the front line to do specific work. In this regard, Huang Xianbo said: Only by constantly learning and repeatedly testing in on-site practice can we have the direction and source of research, and only in this way can we continuously apply all the innovative materials studied to a wider range of fields and play a greater role, rather than just talking about it on paper.

The long-term reliance on imports of plastic materials used by Chinese automobile manufacturers is not conducive to the healthy development of the automobile industry. To this end, the key technologies of automobile plastic materials must be solved so that China's automobile plastic material technology can reach the international advanced level to change the situation of dependence on imports.

Huang Xianbo resolutely accepted the challenge. He worked day and night, and still stayed at the production experiment site in the hot summer, withstanding the high temperature, and repeated experiments, never wavering.

For a period of time, due to overwork, long-term strain of the cervical and lumbar vertebrae, and herniated intervertebral discs, he suffered unbearable pain in his body, but he still withstood the discomfort of his body and successfully completed major scientific research projects such as "Special Scratch Resistance Solutions for Automobiles" and "Development of Environmentally Friendly Polypropylene Materials for Automobiles".

The fully biodegradable polyester material developed by Huang Xianbo has reached the international advanced level by solving a series of key technical difficulties, providing a fundamental solution to the environmental pollution caused by plastic waste. It has won the second prize of Guangdong Science and Technology Progress and the China Patent Excellence Award. The project "Construction of an Independent Innovation System Based on Technological Innovation of Advanced Polymer Materials" won the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress.
