Tokyo government distributes 300,000 pumpkin-faced garbage bags for Halloween

China News network October 17, according to the "Central News Agency" reported that in order to welcome Halloween, Japan's Tokyo metropolitan government is ready to distribute free 300,000 orange garbage bags printed with pumpkin faces, hoping that people in the joy of keeping the streets of the capital clean.
Tokyo expects Halloween weekend, the streets will be crowded with people wearing a variety of costumes to participate in the party.
According to Kyodo News' website, Tokyo Governor Yoichi Masuzoe named the event "-Halloween & Tokyo" (HALLOWEEN& TOKYO), saying he hopes party-goers dressed up in the plastic bags will use them to take their garbage home.He told a news conference that he wanted Tokyo to be seen as a "clean and comfortable" city.
The plastic bags will be distributed free of charge this month at locations including Shibuya, Roppongi, Shinjuku and Akihabara, popular destinations for Halloween costume street parties.
The idea for the Halloween trash bags, announced by the Tokyo Metropolitan government earlier this month, is "& TOKYO¡±(& Tokyo) part of the strategy.
Individuals and businesses are allowed to use the "& "TOKYO" slogan and logo, authorities hope to expand the Tokyo brand and establish its status as an international tourist city ahead of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympic Games.
