PVC cable material is a composite material based on polyvinyl chloride resin, and its internal components include stabilizers, plasticizers, inorganic fillers and other additives.
PVC cable material is a granular material made by mixing, kneading and extruding polyvinyl chloride as the base resin, adding stabilizers, plasticizers, inorganic fillers and other auxiliary materials such as additives and lubricants.
PVC cable material can be divided into different types according to specific uses, including polyvinyl chloride insulated cable material, polyvinyl chloride sheathed cable material, flame retardant polyvinyl chloride insulated cable material, flame retardant polyvinyl chloride sheathed cable material, polyvinyl chloride elastomer cable material and polyvinyl chloride outdoor overhead insulated cable.
The formulation design of PVC cable material has an important influence on its performance. The main ingredients include polyvinyl chloride resin, dioctyl phthalate, stabilizer, plasticizer, inorganic filler, filler, lubricant, antioxidant and colorant. Among them, the content of plasticizer is generally controlled between 50PHR and 60PHR. In order to improve heat resistance and electrical insulation performance, plasticizers with excellent heat resistance, such as trioctyl trimellitate, are often selected. At the same time, the combination of multiple plasticizers can achieve the best effect. For PVC cable materials with strong insulation, phosphate compounds can be used as the main agent; for general-grade cable materials, phthalate compounds can be selected as the main agent. The heat resistance and volatility resistance of the plasticizer are the key factors that determine the high temperature resistance of the cable material.
