Polyethylene heat shrink tubing is made of a special polyolefin material, also known as EVA material.
It has low-temperature shrinkage, soft flame retardant, insulation and corrosion protection functions. It is widely used in insulation protection of various wiring harnesses, solder joints, inductors, rust and corrosion prevention of metal pipes and rods, etc. Voltage level 600V.
As the temperature rises from low to high, polymer materials will experience a glassy state-high elastic state. In the glassy state, the performance is close to plastic, and in the high elastic state, the performance is close to rubber.
The material used for polyethylene heat shrink tubing is in a glassy state at room temperature and becomes a high elastic state after heating.
Technical parameters:
Flame retardant grade: VW-1
Standard color: black
Cutting tool: hot air gun
Certification: UL, ROHS, halogen-free
Starting shrinkage temperature: 70¡æ
Complete shrinkage temperature: 125¡æ
Shrinkage ratio: 2:1
Material: polyolefin
Working temperature: -55¡æ+125¡æ
Melting point:
During production, the polyethylene heat shrink tubing is heated to a high elastic state, a load is applied to expand it, and it is quickly cooled while maintaining the expansion, so that it enters a glassy state, and this state is fixed. When heated during use, it will return to a high elastic state, but at this time the load is gone, and it will shrink.
