Huang Yiping recalled that the passenger who handed the lost items to him got on the train at the "Yingxing Ling Station". "There were very few passengers in the morning, so he should have found [the plastic bag] on his seat." After receiving the plastic bags handed in by passengers, Huang Yiping put them in the cab without looking much. After a round trip, Huang handed the plastic bag to the 311 bus dispatch office in Wangjiawan, Yuelu district. Colleagues at the dispatch office opened the bag and found some company and personal documents and a check with a face value of 650,000 yuan in it.
After 10 am, a young passenger came to Xilong Village, the terminus of Road 311, and asked: "Have any passengers picked up a white plastic bag?" The staff told him that a passenger had indeed picked it up and that it had been handed over to the dispatch room at the departure station. At more than 11 o 'clock, the passenger retrieved his lost property from the dispatch room, with nothing missing inside. "Thanks to the kind passengers and warm-hearted drivers, if these documents are lost, it will bring great trouble to the company." It is understood that the passenger, an employee of a company in Changsha, dropped the important documents and checks in a white plastic bag on the bus because of his negligence.
Huang Yiping introduced that since he became a bus driver, he has encountered this situation many times. After the passengers pick up something, the driver will be handed over to the dispatch room. He also reminded the general public to take care of their belongings when taking public transport, valuables should be kept in sight.
