A migrant worker couple hid 20,000 yuan in a kettle and left their luggage at the station to catch the train
Guangzhou Daily News (Reporter Li Tiyan, correspondent Ye Zichuan, Zhang Miaohong) The other day, Jiaokou subway station staff found an unclaimed water bottle, what is more surprising is that this seemingly ordinary water bottle actually hidden 19,900 yuan bills! It turned out that this was a migrant worker couple's hard-earned money for a year, and they were planning to catch the train to go home for the New Year. Fortunately, it was returned to the original owner that night.
At about 21:20 on February 8, Li Zili, an employee of the Jiaokou subway station, found an unclaimed luggage bag on the ground when he was patrolling the platform. He asked the passengers around him repeatedly, but with no result. The station's search radio was broadcast over and over again, but the owner could not be found. Li then opened the bag with security guards and found only some ordinary clothes and a water bottle.
At 22:50, the station received a report: the owner called the police to report the loss of a duffel bag, which contained 19,900 yuan. After receiving the report, the staff opened all the luggage again and turned it over many times until they opened the lid of the kettle and found that there was a bag wrapped in a black plastic bag, inside which there were two hundred yuan bills, which were counted as 19900 yuan in cash! So the station immediately called the owner.
That night, the owner Mr. Yang and his wife rushed to Jiaokou station to claim the lost property and cash, and the staff returned the money to the migrant workers.
"Good man, good man, you are all good men!" "Mr. Yang thanked him repeatedly. It is reported that they were too anxious to catch the train home for the New Year and left their luggage at the station.
Reminder: Near the end of the year, returning passengers must take good personal belongings, once found missing, should immediately report to the station, or call 96891 to report the loss.
