CFDA: The Hong Kong Yinqiao tablets are different from the Tongan Yinqiao tablets

China News network June 21, according to the State Food and Drug Administration news, June 20, the State Food and Drug Administration appointed Shenzhen Drug Administration to the Hong Kong Department of Health for on-site comparison of evidence, the Hong Kong Department of Health support and cooperation. According to the notification letter provided by the Hong Kong Department of Health, the product samples tested by the Hong Kong Hospital Authority are given to the hospital by the patient for testing. The samples received by the Hospital Authority are opened plastic bottles containing a white tablet without the outer box and instruction manual. The Hospital Authority has taken a photograph to obtain a certificate before testing. According to the on-site comparison by the Shenzhen Drug Administration, the Vitamin C Yinqiao tablet produced by Shenzhen Tongan Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. was a green film coated tablet, while the one tested by the Hong Kong Hospital Authority was a white tablet (vegetarian tablet) with completely different color and appearance (see the attached photo).

Shenzhen Drug Control Institute has carried out sampling inspection on 8 batches of vitamin C Yinqiao tablets produced by Shenzhen Tongan Pharmaceutical Co., LTD., which contain the same batch of products as the pictures posted online by Hong Kong Department of Health. The 8 batches of samples were all in compliance with the regulations. The three active ingredients of vitamin C, acetaminophen and chlorpheniramine maleate were all detected and the contents were all in compliance with the regulations. As for the illegal added ingredients "phenacetin" and "aminopyrine" detected in Hong Kong, none of the eight batches of samples tested by Shenzhen Drug Control Institute were detected.

The State Food and Drug Administration asked the Shenzhen Drug Administration to continue to strengthen communication with the Hong Kong Department of Health to further find out the truth.
