Chinese companies in India are facing three difficulties in resuming work and production
Recently, production activities in many places in India have been liberalized. Noida, near New Delhi, India, is an important production and processing zone in northern India. There are many Chinese enterprises here. Let's take a look at the resumption of production of Chinese enterprises in the local area under the epidemic.
The three Chinese companies we interviewed all resumed work around May 8. All employees are required to wash their hands and spray with drugs when entering the factory, and reporters are also required to follow this procedure. The products of all three companies are related to mobile phones, which provide external boxes, internal plastic pads and batteries. The person in charge of the three companies told reporters that the current return rate of the enterprises is about 20%, and the local competent authorities have restored the production capacity to 33% at most from the perspective of epidemic prevention. At present, the resumption of work and production of Chinese-funded enterprises mainly faces three problems.
Wang Qiang, head of the Indian factory of a Chinese packaging and printing company: There are visa problems, colleagues in China can not come, and colleagues in India can not go back. The second problem is that some medical and epidemic prevention supplies, such as masks and goggles, can not come from China.
Wang Xiuchun, head of the Indian factory of a Chinese battery company: Many Indian employees have no transportation for a time when they return to their hometown, and can not return to the company to work.
The Noida area around New Delhi can be said to be the processing and manufacturing center of northern India. According to incomplete statistics, there are more than 100 Chinese-owned enterprises here. After India imposed a total lockdown on March 25, all Chinese-funded enterprises stopped production, which had a great impact on their business.
According to the data released by the local government, as of May 9, Noida has approved nearly 130 enterprises to resume production, of which 20 are Chinese enterprises. The industry estimates that the local factories will enter a recovery period in May, and will enter a better state in August.
