Wu Dezhen introduced that the innovation team invented the polyimide solution of coagulation, drafting, hot imide integration spinning process, realized from the polyimide prepolymer - polyamide acid solution, directly obtain high strength and high mode polyimide fiber. "Polyimide synthesized by special structural monomers can be dissolved in solvent, but if polyamide acid is used, many monomers can be applied, so as to carry out molecular structure design and improve performance, and the cost will be effectively controlled. And all the common solvents used in the preparation process will be recovered, which will not cause environmental pollution." This technology has broken through the bottleneck of the preparation of high-strength and high-modulus polyimide fiber, and has complete independent intellectual property rights, of which 3 core patents have been authorized by the United States, reaching the international leading level.
According to reports, the obtained high-strength and high-mode polyimide fiber, its tensile strength reaches 3.5GPa, far higher than the common products on the market, strong deformation resistance, glass transition temperature reaches 340 degrees Celsius,5% thermal decomposition temperature reaches 550 degrees Celsius, is not easy to soft, not easy to burn. Preliminary application research shows that it has excellent properties such as light weight, high strength and high modulus, and can be applied to aerospace, military and other high-tech fields.
