Meltable injection molding, have you come across it?

The basic principle of fusible core injection molding is to first use low melting point alloy cast into the fusible core, and then put the fusible core into the mold as an insert for injection molding, after cooling, the parts containing the core are removed from the cavity, and then heated to melt the core to form a hollow product.

When the injection molding structure is difficult to demoulding plastic parts, such as automobile oil pipeline and intake and exhaust manifold and other hollow products with complex shapes, the core can be meltable injection molding.

The process of fusible injection molding technology is as follows:

Cast core &rarr with low melting point metal; Into the mold injection molding → Take out the part with the core → Heat to melt the core → Cleaning parts → Articles.

At present, fusible core injection molding technology only in PA66 has accumulated a certain experience, the preliminary test research shows that PA6, PBT, PET, PPO and so on are also suitable for fusible core injection molding.

Fusible core materials are often used Sn-Bi and Sn-Pb low melting point alloys. The melt core is generally heated by oil and induction coil.

Fusible core injection molding advantages:

1, especially suitable for the production of complex shape, hollow, not suitable for mechanical processing of composite products.

2, the internal size of the hollow plastic parts is accurate and the surface is smooth, which can not be achieved by the usual method.

3, compared with blow molding and gas-assisted injection molding, although it is necessary to increase the equipment of casting fusible core and melting core equipment, it can make full use of the existing injection molding machine, and the degree of freedom of molding is larger.

Molten core injection molding process notes:

1, plastic parts injection molding core can not melt.

2, the metal melt of the core and the medium used to melt the core will not corrode the plastic.

3, at the temperature of the melting core, the parts will not be deformed.
