PC/ABS plastic alloy introduction

PC/ABS is a thermoplastic plastic made of Polycarbonate and polypropylene fine (ABS) alloy, combining the excellent properties of the two materials, the formability of ABS material and the mechanical properties of PC, impact strength and temperature resistance, ultraviolet (UV) resistance and other properties.

PC/ABS has the combined characteristics of both PC and ABS. For example, the easy machining characteristics of ABS and the excellent mechanical characteristics and thermal stability of PC. The ratio of the two will affect the thermal stability of the PC/ABS material. The PC/ABS hybrid also exhibits excellent flow characteristics.

PC/ABS resin is a highly impact-resistant, amorphous polycarbonate (PC) blend with acrylonitro-butadiene-styrene terpolymer (ABS). CYCOLOY can be customized to meet specific performance requirements to obtain the best balance of performance, cost, and processability for use in automotive body panels and dashboards, computer casings, and mobile phones. This alloy blend has the following characteristics: low temperature ductility, excellent impact resistance, high temperature resistance and superior aesthetic beauty.

Various grades of PC/ABS:

¢Ù has a general grade similar to ABS fluidity, electroplating level, super weather level of automotive parts required by high heat resistance level, aging resistance level, etc., a wide variety.

¢Ú Flame retardant grade: added a high function flame retardant, has in line with V-0, V-1, V-2 and 5V standards of different flame retardant grades, both high heat grade, and do not use antimony trioxide thermal stability is very good special grades. All flame retardant levels have obtained UL certification.

¢Û Phosphorus flame retardant grade: both non-halogen PC/ABS general grade and high heat resistant grade, for high environmental protection level. ¢Ü filler reinforcement grade: both glass fiber and mineral filler to enhance the general grade and flame retardant grade, but also suitable for precision instruments of the special grade.

PC/ABS alloy mainly improves the melting flow, formability, electroplating and appearance; Compared with ABS, it mainly improves the heat resistance, impact resistance and the rigidity of thin-walled products. However, in terms of the overall modification goal, obtaining good formability, appearance and reducing the cost of PC are often the most important.

Different PC/ABS blending ratio to obtain different characteristics of PC/ABS> At 50%, ABS constitutes a continuous phase, and PC becomes a dispersed phase.

PC and ABS compatibility is not good, in order to obtain good performance of PC/ABS blends, its morphology and structure is very important. The forming conditions will also have a direct effect on the performance of PC/ABS blends. For example: the molded sample can better maintain the submicroscopic heterogeneous dispersion state formed when the blend is mixed, and the injection molding, at a high shear rate, the dispersion state changes to achieve excessive uniform dispersion, so the impact strength of the two samples is greatly different, and the impact strength of the compression molding sample is heavier.
