On July 9, 28 inspection teams inspected 435 enterprises and found 131 had environmental problems, according to the ministry's website. Among the enterprises with problems, 23 belong to the problem of "scattered pollution", 28 have not installed pollution control facilities, 9 have abnormal operation of pollution control facilities, 2 are suspected of automatic monitoring data fraud, 57 have volatile organic compounds (VOCs) management problems, and 12 are not covered and closed according to the requirements.

In view of the recent environmental air quality problem of high ozone concentration, the Ministry of Environmental Protection requires that the inspection teams should increase the supervision of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) emission enterprises, and all areas should seriously investigate and deal with environmental violations such as volatile organic compounds (VOCs) direct discharge and stolen discharge according to law.
