Tibet establishes an association to prohibit white pollution to protect the snowy plateau, clear water and blue sky

At that time, only a dozen people took part." Recalling the environmental protection volunteer activities in Tibet, Deputy Mayor of Lhasa Gongzha Quwang said, "Today, so many people participate in environmental protection activities, which shows that the concept of environmental protection has been deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. More and more people are willing to participate in environmental protection volunteer activities."
Association consultant Lobsang Dhamba said: "Plastic products are difficult to degrade and dispose of, throwing them around will cause serious pollution to the ecological environment. As a public welfare organization, we hope the association will become a bridge between the government and the market in Tibet's white ban work, and a platform for all sectors of society to protect the environment, and make greater contributions to Tibet's ecological and environmental protection work."
The Association for the Prohibition of White Pollution in Tibet Autonomous Region has been approved by the Department of Civil Affairs of Tibet Autonomous Region. It is composed of industry experts, officials and employees who are enthusiastic about the cause of the prohibition of white pollution in Tibet. It is committed to assisting the local government to better promote the prohibition of white pollution through activities such as the development of environmental protection technologies, academic exchanges, and publicity of environmental protection knowledge and concepts. Since its preparation, the association has organized volunteers to carry out more than 100 outdoor white garbage pickup activities.
