Most products are now made from a mixture of different plastics, such as sports shoes and electronics. These mixtures of plastics are difficult to recycle and use to make new products.

Researchers at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (Berkeley Lab) have developed a custom material called polydiketoenamine (PDK) to solve the mixed plastic recycling problem. The new plastic, which can be efficiently and infinitely recycled, offers a low-carbon solution for manufacturing plastic products.
