On the afternoon of the 3rd, the reporter visited the Zouma Garbage Classification Logistics Base in the High-tech Zone and found that after integrating "big data", all the processes of garbage classification have been transformed into "black technology", making recycling work smarter.

Smart management of solid waste collection and transportation

Make garbage management like express delivery

When the reporter walked into the base, the first feeling was that he had come to an express logistics base. How does this base manage garbage like express delivery? Zhang Wenjing, chairman of the Solid Waste Transportation Company of the Municipal Environmental Sanitation Group, introduced that its core lies in the "Chongqing Solid Waste Collection and Transportation Smart Management System".

"This system enables the whole process supervision of garbage from generation, collection, transit transportation and disposal. When a bag of garbage is put in, when it is collected and transported, when it arrives at the primary transfer station, when it arrives at the secondary transfer station, when it arrives at the food waste treatment plant, and how much environmental benefits it finally generates can all be traced and displayed through this system throughout the whole chain, just as easy as checking the flow of express delivery."

Zhang Wenjing revealed that Chongqing has built three large-scale garbage sorting logistics bases in Jieshi, Zouma and Xiajiaba. "We have introduced the concept of logistics management, and through technological innovation and operation mode innovation, we have equipped a car with two boxes, containers and other equipment to realize the classified transportation of various types of garbage such as domestic garbage, kitchen waste, food waste, and large garbage, greatly improving the efficiency of garbage sorting transportation."

Zhang Wenjing introduced that the Zouma, Xiajiaba and Jieshi bases are multifunctional garbage sorting transfer stations that can classify and transfer various types of garbage, save land resources and reduce environmental sensitive points.

New mode of logistics processing

Zhang Wenjing explained that on the one hand, the base is equipped with a modern fully automatic ventilation system and a disinfection and deodorization system to achieve full enclosed zero pollution throughout the garbage operation. At the same time, a new mode of logistics processing of domestic garbage is also adopted.

Zhang Wenjing introduced that the Zouma base used a front crane in the process of docking the garbage boxes, and the docking could be completed without opening the boxes. At the Xiajiaba base, gantry cranes were first used in the garbage transfer and treatment system. "It has realized an intelligent, efficient and clean garbage direct transportation method in which the garbage boxes entering the secondary transfer station of domestic garbage are reassembled by gantry cranes and directly transferred to the terminal for disposal. The garbage entering the station no longer needs to be unloaded and compressed. All operations are carried out in a fully enclosed state, avoiding problems such as sewage overflow and odor nuisance, and reducing the investment and operating costs of building large-scale compression workshops." Zhang Wenjing revealed that the Municipal Environmental Sanitation Group has also developed a variety of special vehicles for sanitation operations, such as fully sealed two-box garbage transport trucks and fully sealed 40-ton kitchen waste transport trucks. The transport capacity of a single vehicle is two or three times that of an ordinary garbage transport truck, which greatly reduces the cost of garbage transportation. It is understood that after the Zouma base was put into use, the Municipal Environmental Sanitation Group used a 40-ton ecological garbage transport truck to transport garbage. The total amount of garbage directly transported to the garbage incineration plant in various districts of the main city has dropped sharply by 3,000 tons/day, with a reduction of 390 vehicles per day.

Garbage Life Cycle System

Let the people understand the whole process of garbage flow

Garbage "life cycle" refers to the whole process from garbage generation to final disposal.

In the central control room of the Zouma base, reporters saw many staff members monitoring in real time in front of computers. Zheng Xin, the person in charge of information technology of the Safety Production Management Department of the Municipal Environmental Sanitation Group, introduced that these computers are equipped with a full life cycle management system, which has big data management, full traceability management of garbage collection and transportation operations, merchant information smart chips, vehicle weighing systems, garbage operation vehicle trajectory playback, driver safety driving smart alarm, vehicle fuel consumption smart real-time monitoring, vehicle operation real-time video viewing and other functions.

Zheng Xin said that through this system, the supervision department of the Municipal Urban Management Bureau can realize the management of the flow of garbage throughout the process, dynamic management, especially conducive to accurately and strictly control the collection and transportation of each barrel of kitchen waste, avoid the illegal flow of kitchen waste, and protect the food hygiene and safety of the people.

In addition, garbage collection and transportation companies such as the Municipal Environmental Sanitation Group can coordinate and dispatch garbage collection and transportation vehicles according to garbage changes and traffic conditions, accurately dispatch and manage vehicles and personnel, and realize vehicle fuel consumption and equipment maintenance cost management. It can even intelligently intervene in the driver's emotions and automatically alarm dangerous driving.

In addition to improving the work efficiency of regulatory departments, ordinary citizens can also use this system to query the flow and dynamics of garbage, the entire process of operation, and the economic, environmental, and social benefits generated, thereby increasing residents' sense of participation and achievement in garbage sorting.

Intelligent multi-level precision sorting system

Fully automatic sorting of metal, masonry and other garbage

When it comes to garbage sorting, the most troublesome thing is the word "classification". In response to this problem, the Municipal Environmental Sanitation Group has also specially developed a "black technology"-a smart multi-level precision sorting system for domestic garbage.

It is understood that the Xiajiaba base has been equipped with this intelligent multi-level precision sorting system and is being debugged. Zouma and Jieshi bases will also be equipped soon.

Staff members introduced that the system can automatically sort various types of garbage such as metals, plastics, masonry, and perishables through a series of procedures such as screening, crushing, magnetic separation, and air separation. "After secondary sorting, the incoming garbage is transported to the garbage incineration plant, Luoqi restaurant waste treatment plant, Luoqi kitchen waste treatment plant, and Luoqi waste plastic treatment plant for classification and treatment, which greatly improves the treatment effect and efficiency, and effectively promotes garbage reduction, harmlessness, and resource utilization."

It is understood that the garbage classification system in the main urban area has covered more than 1.4 million households in 46 towns and streets and 338 communities. A total of 692 municipal demonstration villages for household garbage classification have been built in the city, of which Zhongxian, Xiushan, and Wansheng Economic Development Zone have become national-level rural household garbage classification demonstration counties (districts), achieving 100% coverage of townships and 82.9% coverage of administrative villages.
