Woman throws antiques away as waste, sanitation worker searches through garbage dump and returns them to original owner
Two priceless antique vases were recovered from the garbage dump after nearly eight hours in a garbage truck. Yesterday (No. 10), Ms. Wang (a pseudonym), who lives in a residential area of the Stadium Street in Jiangan District, held the lost vases and was filled with emotions.
At 15:00 on the 9th, when Ms. Wang was cleaning at home, she threw a plastic bag covered with dust in the corner to the trash can downstairs. At around 18:00, Wang's younger brother came home from work and found the plastic bag missing. It turned out to contain two antique vases worth a lot of money. At that time, the trash can downstairs had already been cleaned by sanitation workers.
At 21 o 'clock, Ms. Wang found Gao Haibin, the sanitation worker responsible for cleaning operations in the community. Gao Haibin and his colleagues quickly rushed to the garbage transfer station on Labor Street, stopped the compression operation and searched carefully. At around 2300, the plastic bag containing the vase was rummaged out. Upon inspection, the two vases were found intact. (Reporter Li Yuan, correspondent Song Honglei)
