being carried across the river in plastic bags and walking for 5 hours on a mountain road
In the small village of Dien Bien Phu, Vietnam, it is not easy to go to school, but everyone tries to overcome the difficulties. Due to the rainy season, the high river overwhelms the bamboo bridge, forcing the children to be dragged manually across the river in a giant plastic bag. The fast-moving water makes the move dangerous, leaving parents on the banks watching anxiously. After crossing the river, children still have to walk five hours through the slippery mountains to reach school.
