ASA is a copolymer of styrene, acrylonitrile and acrylic rubber. Technically, ASA not only maintains the main characteristics of ABS, but also combines the weather resistance of acrylic, so that the application of the product can be extended to outdoor use. ASA is divided into: general grade, extrusion grade and heat-resistant grade.

PW-957 is a general grade ASA resin with high fluidity and high gloss; it is widely used in outdoor and weather-resistant products.

Heat-resistant Grade

Heat-resistant grade ASA resin is suitable for products with high temperature requirements. It is generally used for heating appliance shells and automotive components, such as rearview mirrors, radiator front fences, etc. The main types of heat-resistant grade ASA products are PW-978B and PW-978D. PW-978B is heat-resistant grade ASA, and PW-978D is ultra-high heat-resistant grade ASA.

Identification

1. Surface finish is an important indicator for measuring the quality grade of various types of recycled material particles: the surface of high-quality recycled materials is smooth and lubricated.

2. Transparency is an important indicator for measuring the quality grade of medium and high-end recycled material particles: transparent materials are of good quality.

3. Uniformity and consistency of color are important indicators for measuring the quality grade of colored recycled material particles: white, milky white, yellow, blue, black and other colors.

4. Particle density is an important aspect of testing the level of recycling technology: poor plasticization and loose particles.

5. Check whether the recycled particles float and sink with water to test the content of fillers in PP and PE particles.

For recycled materials, different recycled materials have different uses. Since there is no unified standard and it is difficult to formulate it, it is necessary to fully meet the user's process requirements.

Formulation process

ASA resin is mainly produced by blending technology. The main raw materials are ASA powder and AS resin as well as colorants, antioxidants, internal and external lubricants, etc.

The main equipment is a twin-screw extruder. Other supporting equipment includes high-speed batching machine, automatic weighing feeder, cooling granulator, automatic packaging machine, quality inspection equipment (melting ester instrument, universal testing machine, etc.). When the production reaches a certain scale, a finished product silo is also required.
