General engineering plastic include polyamide, polyoxymethylene, polycarbonate, modified polyphenylene ether (MPPE) and thermoplastic polyester (PET) and other types. These materials are characterized by light weight, high strength, good toughness, wear resistance, self-lubrication, and easy molding and processing. They also have excellent heat resistance, dimensional stability, chemical stability and dielectric properties, so they have a long service life.
