Vacuum Forming board

The Vacuum Forming board is an amorphous, odorless, non-toxic, highly transparent, colorless or slightly yellow thermoplastic engineering plastic with excellent physical and mechanical properties, especially excellent impact resistance, high tensile strength, flexural strength and compressive strength; small creep and dimensional stability; good heat resistance and low temperature resistance, stable mechanical properties, dimensional stability, electrical properties and flame retardancy in a wide temperature range, and can be used for a long time at -60~120¡æ; no obvious melting point, molten state at 220-230¡æ; due to the high rigidity of the molecular chain, the resin melt has high viscosity; low water absorption, small shrinkage, high dimensional accuracy, good dimensional stability, and low film permeability; it is a self-extinguishing material; stable to light, but not resistant to ultraviolet light, and has good weather resistance; resistant to oil, acid, strong alkali, oxidizing acid, amines, ketones, soluble in chlorinated hydrocarbons and aromatic solvents, and prone to hydrolysis and cracking in water for a long time. The disadvantage is that it is prone to stress cracking due to poor fatigue strength, poor solvent resistance, and poor wear resistance.

Main features

Vacuum Forming board uses medium density fiberboard as the base material, with good surface flatness and easy to shape. After the pattern is formed by carving and milling, the pattern is diverse and has a three-dimensional sense. If the home decoration is European or pastoral style, it is recommended to choose Vacuum Forming.

Vacuum Forming door panels are rich in color, realistic wood grain, pure and bright monochrome color, no cracking and deformation, scratch resistance, heat resistance, stain resistance, and anti-fading. It is the most mature cabinet material and has simple daily maintenance. Because the four sides of the door panel can be sealed into one after Vacuum Forming molding, and no edge sealing is required, the problems of some panels being debonded and susceptible to water erosion over the years are solved. Foreign countries call it defect-free panel. The advantage of Vacuum Forming board is that it has high wear resistance and can be cleaned directly with steel wool without damaging the surface and color.

Imported Vacuum Forming door panels are expensive, and the quality of many domestic PVC Vacuum Forming door panels is not up to standard. However, the disadvantage of Vacuum Forming board is that it is afraid of heat, and even a small cigarette butt can damage the surface film. Products similar to it should be molded door panels, and their appearance is in line with the pastoral style of decoration.

Preparation materials

The base material of the Vacuum Forming board is a density board, and the surface is formed by vacuum Vacuum Forming or a one-time seamless PVC film pressing process. The materials currently used for Vacuum Forming on the market mainly include ABS (acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer), PVC (polyvinyl chloride), PET (polyethylene terephthalate), PS (polystyrene), PC (polycarbonate), etc. The thickness of the Vacuum Forming sheet products supplied on the market is between 0.05mm-3mm. The Vacuum Forming sheets with a thickness greater than 3mm belong to the thick PVC sheets in the Vacuum Forming field, which are mainly suitable for the production of large-size products. They are currently widely used in engineering construction such as mobile board doors.

As a new type of green and environmentally friendly material, Vacuum Forming board has been widely used in advertising decoration, interior decoration, automobile interior, refrigerator lining, home appliance shell, mobile board room door, mobile toilet door, and Vacuum Forming packaging of daily necessities, cosmetics, sporting goods, automotive supplies, electronic products, toys, etc., with its light weight, surface gloss, flame retardant, heat resistance, moisture resistance, waterproof, heat preservation, sound insulation, shock absorption, anti-static and other characteristics.

Specific types

Vacuum Forming door panels are a very mature and popular cabinet material in Europe. They are divided into two categories: matte molded panels and high-gloss molded panels, which can be processed into various shapes. The surface molds are divided into domestic and imported, and the difference lies in the thickness and wear resistance of the surface molds. High-gloss molded door panels are the latest material that truly replaces paint-coated door panels.
