"SUNMAP" is a product developed by Nitto Denko using a special firing method developed exclusively for the company. First, ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene powder is made into a porous molded body, and then the molded body is cut to make an ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene porous film. This product not only maintains the excellent characteristics of ultra-high molecular weight such as chemical resistance, wear resistance, and mold release, but also achieves air permeability and a low friction coefficient by making it porous.

Features
A porous film with open cells has excellent air permeability and moisture permeability.
By making ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene, which has excellent wear resistance and a low friction coefficient, porous properties are achieved, which provides even better sliding properties.
The chemical properties are very stable, and it is almost not corroded by all chemicals such as acids and alkalis, and it has good chemical resistance.
It has good processing performance and can be heat-sealed, punched and shaped.
SUNMAP maintains the characteristics of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene and achieves air permeability through porosity.
