PVC-UH: High-performance rigid polyvinyl chloride pipes. In 2016, the industry standard "High-performance rigid polyvinyl chloride pipes (PVC-UH) and connectors for water supply" was promulgated, and the new term PVC-UH was created.

Introduction

PVC-UH: High-performance rigid polyvinyl chloride pipes, belonging to the PVC pipe series, have the characteristics of high strength and impact resistance. The requirements of this product standard fundamentally stipulate the production and inspection requirements of the product.

Background

As the country vigorously develops underground pipe corridors and pipe networks, pipes as the main component of the pipe network have once again attracted people's attention. The underground pipe network is a conscientious project. How to avoid bursting and leakage, and how to avoid a minor repair every three years and a major repair every five years have become the primary considerations. The high cost of repeated repairs of the existing underground pipe network has also become a major problem that plagues the water department. The 13th Five-Year Plan puts forward energy conservation, emission reduction and green environmental protection as the key points. The high energy consumption of ductile iron and other pipes has been exposed to everyone's sight again. The difference between its lifespan and plastic pipes has also made people start to reconsider PVC pipes, and PVC-UH came into being.

Pipe specifications

Specifications: caliber range dn20mm-1600mm, pressure level PN0.63MPa-2.5MPa Pipes are distinguished by color. Generally, the color of the pipe is blue, which can also be negotiated according to customer needs.

Standard documents: High-strength polyvinyl chloride (PVC-UH) pipes meet the industry standard CJ/493-2016 "High-performance rigid polyvinyl chloride pipes and connectors for water supply". The product performance is higher than the requirements of the national standard GB/T10002.1.

Application areas: municipal water supply pipelines, municipal pressure drainage, sewage pipelines, building water supply pipelines, and reclaimed water and chemical medium transportation pipelines.

Large-diameter (dn110-1600mm) PVC-UH pressure-resistant pipes can replace cast iron pipes and cement pipes for water supply systems, and have the advantages of good fluidity, corrosion resistance, and light weight;

Small-diameter PVC-UH pipes can be widely used in building tap water pipes, and have the advantages of low cost, corrosion resistance, and no need for frequent maintenance and replacement.

Unique characteristics of pipes

PVC-UH pipes use different connection accessories from traditional PVC-U, such as: one-piece steel skeleton sealing ring socket structure and the development and application of all-plastic connectors.

One-piece steel skeleton sealing ring socket structure: This is a sealing ring connection form widely used in the United States. Its characteristic is that the rubber ring and the flaring are molded as one. It will not be squeezed and displaced during installation, which enhances the sealing of the connection and ensures the installation quality.

All-plastic connectors: Large-diameter PVC-UH pipes can be connected with all-plastic connectors, which adopt all-plastic composite reinforced socket-and-spigot structure. This product has high technical quality. It is the first time in the world that all-plastic connectors are applied to large-diameter PVC pipe systems. The use of all-plastic composite materials effectively solves the problem of corrosion and leakage caused by the use of steel-plastic pipe fittings (or ink cast iron pipe fittings) for large-diameter PVC pipes. The pipe fittings have good sealing, high strength, good toughness, and high pressure bearing capacity. Their service life is synchronized with the pipes, ensuring the service life of the entire pipeline system for more than 50 years.

Underground pipe gallery pipes

The industry standard CJ/T493-2016 "High-Performance Rigid Polyvinyl Chloride Pipes and Connectors for Water Supply" issued by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development clearly states that PVC-UH pipes are suitable for laying pipe galleries.
