UHMWPE Wear Resistance

Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) is known for its excellent wear resistance, which exceeds that of most plastics and some metals. The mortar abrasion index of UHMWPE is only one-fifth of PA66, one-tenth of HDPE and PVC, and even lower than carbon steel and brass. This high wear resistance makes UHMWPE an ideal choice for many industrial and civilian products.
