The China Plastic Fair was founded in 2001. Approved by the then State Economic and Trade Commission, it is held annually and has been successfully held for 16 sessions. Each exhibition lasts for 4 days and is generally held in September or October each year. The venue is fixed in Zhejiang. Luqiao-Taizhou International Convention and Exhibition Center.
The 17th China Plastic Fair in 2017 is scheduled to be held at Zhejiang¡¤Luqiao¡¤Taizhou International Convention and Exhibition Center from October 12 to 15, 2017.
Taizhou is one of the cities in the Yangtze River Delta Economic Zone of China. It is located in the middle of the Zhejiang coast in eastern China, the southern wing of the Shanghai Economic Zone, Ningbo in the north, and Wenzhou in the south. Taizhou has a developed economy and a prosperous market, and ranks among the top in the comprehensive competitiveness ranking of 200 cities in the country. Taizhou's plastic industry sprouted in the 1950s and became a pillar industry of the regional economy in the 1990s. From plastic molds and plastic machinery manufacturing to plastic product production, and then to raw material trade and product sales, a considerable number of enterprises have carried out division of labor and cooperation in each link, forming a complete plastic industry chain.
Taizhou has more than 12,000 plastic product manufacturers, nearly 50,000 injection molding equipment, and more than 4,000 mold manufacturing companies. In 2015, more than 6 million tons of raw materials were consumed, accounting for about one-tenth of China's total raw material consumption.
Taizhou has the reputation of "Plastic Products Kingdom" and "China Mold Hometown", and has become one of China's largest plastic product production bases and plastic mold production bases.
