Rubber extruder is a basic equipment in the rubber industry and one of the key equipment that affects product quality. It plays a very important role in the production process of tires and rubber products. The development of foreign rubber extruders has gone through the stages of plunger extruder, screw-type hot feed extruder, ordinary cold feed extruder, main and auxiliary thread cold feed extruder, cold feed exhaust extruder, pin cold feed extruder, and composite extruder.

Development History

Since the 1950s, some rubber machinery manufacturers in my country, such as Changzhou Fengjinbao Rubber and Plastic Machinery Co., Ltd., have successively developed hot feed extruders, which are widely used in tires, hoses, plastics and other industries. The development of pin cold feed extrusion technology in my country began in 1984 and has a history of more than 20 years. After continuous improvement and perfection in thread structure, thread parameters, pin configuration and quantity, temperature control and feeding methods, this technology has finally been recognized internationally. Pin-type cold feed extruder has become the leading product in the extruder market.

Due to the fact that in the production of bias tires and radial tires, the production of components such as treads, sidewalls and apex rubber mostly adopts rubber compound extrusion technology, so domestic and foreign two-compound, three-compound or four-compound pin-type cold feed extruders have come into being. my country's compound extrusion technology has become increasingly mature, and the design and manufacturing level of compound extruders has reached the international advanced level. We can not only provide compound extruders in various combinations, but also export them to famous foreign tire companies. Guilin Rubber Industry New Technology Development Industry Corporation is the only enterprise in China that can design and manufacture four-composite pin-type cold feed extruders, and is also one of the few enterprises in the world that can design and manufacture four-composite pin-type cold feed extruders. The four-composite pin-type cold feed extruder developed by the enterprise for Michelin Company of France has won good reviews from users.

Development Status Overseas

There are about 22 major manufacturers of rubber extruders abroad, including Troester, Berstorff, Krupp, A-Z (VMI) in Germany, Nakata Engineering, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Kobe Machinery, Kobe Steel, Imaka Machinery in Japan, Farrar and Davis Standard in the United States, Pomini in Italy, RCM and Imterplasti-ca in Switzerland, and Iddor Broother in the United Kingdom. Troester Machinery Manufacturing Plant in Germany was founded in 189 2 years, it is mainly committed to the development, research and production of mechanical equipment such as tires, cables, sealing strips and conveyor belts. The spiral rubber extruders (GS) produced by the company are used by major rubber processing plants in Europe and other countries. For nearly a century, its rubber extruder output and production quality have been recognized as industry standards. In the mid-1970s, Troest played a role in promoting the development of the QSM (cross-flow mixing) process and developed the QSM pin-type cold feed extruder. Since then, this evolving process has enabled tire manufacturers and other rubber product processors to process a variety of rubber compounds with the best plasticizing effect without having to replace the screw, with high output and good quality. Since the QSM pin-type cold feed extruder is applicable to all rubber compounds, it has been rapidly promoted to various industries in the rubber industry.

German Berstorff Rubber and Plastic Machinery Company, founded in 1 0 0 years ago, it was a member company of Mannesmann Plastic Machinery Group. As a leading supplier of rubber and plastic equipment, Berstorff has become one of the leading manufacturers of plastic and rubber production and processing extrusion systems in the world. In 1954, Berstorff established its first technical center, developed and manufactured its first twin-screw extruder in 1966, and was incorporated into Mannesmann Plastic Machinery Group in 1998. It provides extruders and extrusion systems, composite extrusion systems, roller head extrusion systems and calender production lines for the tire manufacturing industry. The products prepared by its two-compound, three-compound and four-compound extrusion systems include components such as treads, sidewall strips and triangle strips. The company launched the ZEB asic series of twin-screw extruders. Due to the high degree of standardization of various components, this series of equipment has extremely excellent cost-effectiveness. The new ZEB asic model is particularly suitable for general-purpose compounding and modification purposes. With the new ZEB With the launch of the asic model, Berstorff has completed a full range of twin-screw extruder products, including the ultra-high-performance ZEUTX and ZEUT twin-screw extruders. The ZEB asic twin-screw extruder will be promoted worldwide.

In 2004, Dutch rubber machinery manufacturer VMI bought out the extruder department of German A-z Model and Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd., thereby expanding its product range. This event expanded VMI's product range in the tire molding and rubber industry. A-z extrusion products include: multi-compound, tri-compound and quad-compound extruders, with extrusion rates ranging from 60 kg/60 mm to 7800 ks/250 mm per hour.

In general, cold-feed rubber extruders have become the mainstream of development in developed countries such as Europe and the United States. By the early 1990s, cold-feed extruders in developed countries such as Europe and the United States had accounted for 95% of the total production. Developed countries such as Europe and the United States are developing and producing MTCD and other high-speed, precision new extrusion equipment.

Domestic Situation

The annual output of rubber extruders in my country is nearly 800 units, and there are about 50 manufacturers, mainly distributed in Qingdao, Guilin, Inner Mongolia, Shanghai and other places. Although there are many rubber screw extruder manufacturers in China, there are only 4-5 companies that have development and design capabilities and are quite influential in the industry. Such as Changzhou Fengjinbao Rubber and Plastic Machinery Co., Ltd., Guilin Rubber Industry New Technology Development Industrial Corporation, Tianjin Saixiang Technology Co., Ltd., Inner Mongolia Fute Rubber and Plastic Machinery Co., Ltd. and Inner Mongolia Honglida Rubber and Plastic Machinery Co., Ltd. In the mid-1980s, China began to contact and use the three-composite extrusion technology and double-composite extrusion technology of Bet-Storff and Troester. Inner Mongolia Fute Rubber and Plastic Machinery Co., Ltd. has carried out technical exchanges with many foreign companies. On the basis of absorbing foreign advanced technologies, it has developed and produced various specifications of pin-type cold feed compound extruders, which has realized the localization of compound extrusion equipment and made the technology reach a relatively mature level.
